When I posted Flipkart is Cheapest - I mentioned that Infibeam is rising. Now after the consolidation of Flipkart & Letbuy (it is more than just buy-out of Letsbuy by Flipkart), it seems that this move was unavoidable.
Infibeam is not just a single e-commerce site of India. It has many sister sites selling stuffs at a competitive price range.
As you can remember Infibeam has tied up with Ananda Publishers, a part of Anandabazar Group which is one of largest Bengali publishing companies
(owner of largest Bengali newspaper Anandabazar & leading English newspaper The Telegraph). This partnership gives Infibeam a wide access to sell Ananda Publishers' books online. Check the site here.
Second sister of Infibeam - NDTV Shopping site, source [At the time of writing I am not sure it is still powered by Infibeam or not]
A simple Google search reveals Infibeam also powers VIP Bag Store .
3rd Sister of Infibeam - I did not expect BookMyWish to be another sis of Infibeam, but when I went to the payment page I got this:
After another session with Google told me that Infibeam has a platform called BuildBazaar to setup your own online store brand.
For more updates visit Infibeam Blog.
Check the comparison chart from Google Trends for top e-commerce sites in India:
Green - ebay.in Red- Infibeam Orange- letsbuy Deep Blue- naaptol Light Blue- Flipkart
Another from Google Trends:
The chart says Infibeam is maintaining its traffic, while flipkart goes higher than ebay India [probably due to ad campaigning], Letsbuy is seeing a drop [may be due to no coupon is working these days], interestingly Naaptol has bagged 3rd spot.
I checked with Tradus, Sulekha & Adexmart - Sulekha has other stuffs than shopping, so gets more traffic while other two get traffic very low compared to biggies!
At the time of writing I find Sify Shopping is also engulfed by Indiaplaza.
Update: buildabazaar.com lists all of the featured stores - HERE.
