EV in India - List of 2 Wheeler Makers

Electric Vehicles are seem to be the cars from the future. But already several home grown companies developed two-wheelers and cars for Indian populations. 

Tata Motors seems to be the king of EV car market - they have Tata Tiago EV, Tata Nexon EV, Tata Nexon EV Max, Tata Nexon EV Prime and upcoming Tata Altroz EV as 4 wheelers EV offerings. They also launched Punch.ev. 

Other mainstream EV cars available in India - MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona Electric, Kia EV6 and upcoming Mahindra XUV400. 

There are some cars from premium car makers like Posche, Mercedes, BMW, Byd - all are priced more than 30 lakhs. 

Buy Now Pay Later (BNPY) Offerings in India

Though 'buy now, pay later' schemes are available in the market in the form of credit cards in India for many years, new concept of BN-PY was around for 5-7 years. First I heard of LazyPay and Simpl from my brother who was using them in Chennai for heavily discounted foods and etc. Then I got to know about Ola Postpaid which offers cashless rides and generate a monthly or 15-day bill to pay the ride charges at one go. The best part of this BN-PY schemes are while you pay later there is no interest charge (similar to credit cards with 30 day bill) but often these are easy to grab (not subject to approval from banks for a credit cards) - so for students or youngsters LazyPay, Simpl, Ola Postpaid were a hit. 

Ola Gets Massive Response from Drivers in London, Uber's License to be Scrapped

Indian cab aggregator Ola is going Europe, as it is to launch services in London. Ola has been running operations in Australia and Newzealand since 2018. 

It should be noted that Ola is operating in UK since 2018 across South Wales (Cardiff, Newport and Vale of Glamorgan), South West (Bath, Bristol, Exeter, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire), Merseyside (Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and The Wirral), West Midlands (Birmingham, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Coventry and Warwick) and Reading.

Just like Samsung and Apple, Indian luxury taxi giants - Ola and Uber are in legal fight. Though Uber is present in fewer cities compared to India-grown Ola, Uber has stronger presence in certain cities. As I used Uber in Kolkata and Bangalore, it seems to be the cheapest taxi in the metro.

In Bangalore Uber is rocking with its UberPool (similar to OlaShare, but you can book more than 1 seats for pool). However in Kolkata Ola has launched its super cheap taxi - Ola Micro.
