List of Windows Softwares - Must Haves on Your PC

This blog post is basically made after I find many people fails to understand what to install and what not to install on a Windows PC/laptop. So I listed the softwares which I find essentials and the suggested ones.

After installing Windows 7 Ultimate (without key) Windows keeps Automatic Update enabled by default. So disable it, and stop Action Center to stop showing alerts regarding this. If you are not geek, please keep ignoring these messages from Action Center.


Essential Programs
Must-haves: Flash Player (for IE and non-IE), Java, Dot NET framework - all versions v1.1, v2.0, v3.0 and v4.0

Suggested: Adobe AIR, Microsoft Silverlight, Shockwave Player, Visual C++, DirectX

Office suite:
Microsoft Office 2007 (or later)
Free option - Open Office.org/Libre Office

Browser
Recommended - Vivaldi 
For Experts - Opera/Maxthon

Others: Google Chrome/Mozilla Firefox

* If you are using more than one computer, it is better to use Opera Portable where all of your browsing data will be saved and moved from one PC to another just via usb drive. And yes you can run it from the pen drive also.
