India's soft drink market is into a tension as country's richest man Mukesh Ambani has re-launched Campa in India, a new rival in the soft drink market. Campa is being available in three variants - Cola, Lemon and Orange.
Campa is pretty old brand of India and can be considered as the pioneer of home-grown soft drinks of India, created in 1970s, by Pure Drinks owned by Mohan Singh. During 1991-2001 Pepsi and Coca Cola entered Indian market and they beat Campa by fierce marketing, distribution and advertisement. By 2012 Campa did not exist in the market. In 2022 Reliance Industries bought the brand at just Rs 22 crore and brought back the nostalgia as RIL re-launched Campa in March 2023. Soon newly launched Campa is being rolled out across Reliance's retail outlets as well as online sellers.
Like many other ventures, RIL did the price disruption with Campa. Campa costs Rs 10 for 200ml, Rs 20 for 500ml, Rs 80 (on JioMart Rs 53) for 2L pack.
Cola drinks are differentiated from other soft drinks, as they contains caffeine. Caffeine was first isolated by the German chemist Friedrich Ferdinand Runge in 1819.
This is the comparison of Campa Cola vs other cola drinks available in India.

Another energy drink Sting contains caffeine of 72mg per 250ml. Predator contains 90-120mg of caffeine in 300-400ml package (30mg/100ml). Hell Classic and Virat Kohli promoted O'cean also holds 30mg/100ml caffeine (that's 75mg/250ml).
Monster Energy drink contains 32mg/100ml caffeine but it comes in 350ml or 500ml package - so containing 112 mg or 160mg caffeine in total.
